Privacy policy

Waimers ("we", "us") runs Waimers. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data you share with us.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, mobile number and delivery address
• Your GSTIN and business name, if you enter them for a GST invoice
• Your orders, returns and messages to us
• Payment status from our payment partners. We never see or store your full card number, UPI PIN or banking password
• Basic device and browsing data, and cookies, as described below

Why we use it

• To take, deliver, and support your orders, returns and refunds
• To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp
• To issue GST invoices and keep the records Indian tax law requires
• To prevent fraud and keep our store secure
• To send offers, only if you agree to them. You can stop them at any time

Consent

We use your personal data for the purposes above with your consent, or where the law allows it without consent, such as to complete an order you asked for. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to our grievance officer. Withdrawing it does not affect what was done before, but we may not be able to take new orders from you without the data an order needs.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed, with: courier partners, to deliver your order; payment gateways, to take your payment; email, SMS and WhatsApp providers, to send you updates; and our hosting and software providers, who process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data. We may share data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data while your account is active or while we need it for the purposes above. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require. After that we erase it.

Your rights

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we shared it with
• Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data
• Withdraw your consent
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity
• Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our answer, complain to the Data Protection Board of India

To use any of these rights, write to our grievance officer below. If you have an account, you can also ask for a copy of your data or delete your account under Your data in your account.

Children

Our store is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.

Cookies

We use cookies that the store needs to work, such as your cart. Analytics and marketing cookies load only if you allow them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Security

We protect your personal data with reasonable security safeguards, including encryption in transit. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Grievance officer

If you have a complaint, write to our grievance officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days of receiving it.
